The skills that can be applied to solving real-life problems are the ones that are soonest learnt, and longest remembered.

These skills demonstrate the tangible return on investment for your company.

Students feel a greater sense of accomplishment, and a genuinely positive experience as employees.

Great employee experience leads to great customer experience.

When an employer provides benefits with meaning, the employee feels valued.

FAQ

Why Only two  Levels – B2 and C1?

Because this is where your high-performers can use what they’ve learned for the direct benefit of your company.

C2 level is currently being devised with my in-person students. Once the course is iterated and adapted for online, I’ll be sure to let you know.

What if I want tailor-made content?

Tailored courses can be devised based on a free consultation.

You’ll also find that each course includes opportunities for content-on-demand.

If you’d like to know more, just drop me a line at course@andrewpower.me

Is there a guarantee?

Of course. You’ve a 30-day guarantee.

As I provide contact time throughout the course, it is only fair for me to see evidence that students have used the materials (completed workbooks, attending AMAs, and so on).

Buying the course, using the materials and then asking for a refund without a fair reason isn’t appropriate.

When does the course start and finish?

It is a completely self-paced online course - you decide when you start and when you finish.

But you must do so within 90 days of purchase. After 90 days, the course is closed, just like a real semester. The series of AMA sessions also commences from the day of purchase. If you miss them, they’re gone!

Experience shows that this term-limit boosts engagement and student attention to the programme.

Do you charge sales tax?

As I am in the EU, sales taxes may be added to your purchase by your payment system. However, I am not registered for VAT (sales tax) and prices are as shown. I do not personally make sales tax charges.

What about teacher contact time?

I supplement the pre-made lessons with:

  • A blend of biweekly AMA (Ask Me Anything ) sessions that are run throughout the term of the course (typically 12 weeks). In these, I respond directly to questions students have from the course content, and do my best to help with questions on English outside that.

  • Two follow up lessons, one 6 weeks after, and one 12 weeks after the course ends. The lesson content will be more structured, and is designed in direct response to pertinent questions from the AMAs.

  • A live 10th lesson via webinar, with content tailored to your requests. This lesson answers your questions from the course, and supplements the skills and English covered.

WHAT’S THE LMS?

The online training market has matured, so we’re seeing a lot of flashy systems for learning.

My courses use a blend of video, workbooks, supporting materials, and plenty of contact time with me.

No fluff or unnecessary bells and whistles to ‘add value’.

In my courses, the value comes from what the students learn, and how they apply it for success in the real world.

That’s my #1 priority.

MY LMS

  • Convenient access to the course area online

  • Bite-sized videos

  • Interactive exercises using a printer-friendly workbook

  • Recap exercises

  • My personal support in AMAs and follow-up lessons.

The members site is entirely secure, and only accessible via your password and login details.

The benefits:

  • It’s low-friction – students can focus on the content, not fiddly unreliable systems.

  • It’s low-bandwidth – expanding accessibility globally.

  • It’s cost effective – saving man-hours and resources.

  • I also pass on the savings to you – not having to maintain a complex LMS.

  • It’s responsive and … human.

Do you provide certificates?

As I am not yet affiliated with any university, my courses are not currently accredited.

However, the CEFR benchmarking system is internationally recognised, and is perfect for evaluating student performance and skills.

Upon completion of the course, I provide a certificate of merit that includes an overview of the CEFR skills attained. The student presents completed workbooks and has attended at least 80% of the AMAs and follow up lessons.

The student can then include their certificate with whatever framework your organisation uses.

This looks good, but who is it really for?

Any English teacher can provide English lessons. Some might even be competent at business English vocabulary.

But can they provide blended business English? With communications techniques proven to boost sales, enhance the customer experience, advance interdepartmental cooperation, and instil confidence?

All my lessons are designed to solve specific problems. Problems people just like you – and your colleagues – have every day.

  • Improving people-skills for IT staff and engineers.

  • Improving sales techniques for account managers and headhunters.

  • Giving shy back-office managers the confidence to do company-wide webinars.

  • Resolving tensions between different departments, with practical skills – not new-age mumbo-jumbo.

  • Presenting complex information to a lay audience to make a connection, as part of a global marketing strategy.

  • Making remote management more effective with otherwise negligent subcontractors based in the developing world.

  • Helping your people understand their role within the success of your company, as a whole. Boosts employee experience and fosters a positive feedback loop throughout the team and stakeholders.

  • Unlocking potential. Your people drive innovation, the customer experience, and product development. What better way to do this than through excellence in communication and collaborative skills?

Giving you an edge in international business.

Meanwhile, your competitors are churning through run-of-the-mill English teachers, wondering why they keep getting the same poor results.

Or they are using my training to get an edge over you.

What do my students say?

My Professional Curriculum content has helped the business and careers of hundreds of students. But don’t take my word for it – you can see more testimonials here.
